Hello!

My name is Miss Katie (she/her) and I'm a performer, songwriter, and teaching artist based in Chicago. I view making music for children to be truly radical, beautiful work. Through my songs, I promote social-emotional learning, tenderness, creativity, and justice.

I've worked as a professional musician and teaching artist for several years, acting as an on-camera host for Fender and teaching classes at Old Town School of Folk Music. Currently I perform throughout the US, as well as virtually for families across the world. 

Through my work, I want young children to feel the way Mister Rogers made me feel growing up: valued, creative, and seen.
